effects of facet phases and reflectivity on the internal optical field in qws-dfb semiconductor lasers
in this paper, the effects of reflected waves of the facets on the internal optical intensity of semiconductor dfb lasers are investigated. the uniformity of optical intensity along the cavity length is evaluated with flatness parameter. the dependence of this parameter on coupling coefficient, reflectivity and grating phase at the facets is also studied. this investigation shows that in some s...

This paper describes a model for the simulation of large angle tilted implantation of phosphorus in silicon. To reduce the size of the precalculated look-up parameter table, the symmetry of the silicon crystal is exploited. Examples demonstrate the importance of ion channeling effects in LATID implantation.

Though the importance of CAD increases, the analog circuit design is still mostly done by experience. It is known that this is because of insufficient model quality, or quality of extracted parameter values. We have developed a new MOSFET model based on the drift-diffusion approximation. By comparing a conventional piece-wise model with our precise model, critical shortage of the conventional m...

Hydrometallurgical technology offers a unique possibility for developing countries to exploit their mineral resources locally instead of shipping them as concentrates. Production plants may start on a small scale with small capital investment then increase productivity later when the economy permits without financial penalty. This is in contract to smelting operations which necessitates large s...
متن کاملRapid Characterization Method for New Semiconductor Processes
Having adequate characterization of new semiconductor processes is important in the development of integrated circuits (ICs) destined for mil/aero systems. In the past, designers have had to rely upon the fidelity of models found in the Process Design Kit (PDK). For new processes, these models can be incomplete or not fully characterized by the foundry. With Mil/Aero applications, the performan...
